Created during a moment of frustration and stalled momentum, Bored Through began as an improvised attempt to construct a straw from paper, electrical tape, and a drill bit. Isolated against a stark white field, the resulting object appears both functional and absurd, suspended somewhere between tool, prototype, and artifact.
The piece transforms boredom into invention and necessity into sculpture. What was never intended to become art is preserved as evidence of the restless human impulse to build something, even when there is nowhere to go and nothing else to do.
